Located at 1200 meters elevation in the foothills southeast of Doi Inthanon, Thailand's highest peak, Ban Mae Klang Luang, Chom Thom District, Chiang Mai Province, is a village of Karen hill tribe people who migrated from Burma in the late 18th century.  Known for picturesque terraced rice paddies, this typica varietal coffee is grown in the shade of the forest further up the mountain at altitudes around 1800 meters.

This coffee has an up-front chocolate nose as a whole bean and after grinding, along with meaty and vegetable aromas.  In the cup it is smooth and balanced, with floral flavors and bit of a pronounced citrus acidity, and chocolate on the finish.

We roast all of our coffee the day before we ship it, allowing it to rest properly for 24 hours before it is packaged.  It usually takes 1-4 business days for your coffee to arrive, depending upon distance and other factors.  In order to make shipping costs more practical, we ship 2 bags of coffee in a single flat-rate pouch.  We pay all shipping costs and sales taxes for domestic orders.
