Doi Inthanon, Mae Klang Luang Village 14oz Bag

$17.50

Located at 1200 meters elevation in the foothills southeast of Doi Inthanon, Thailand's highest peak, Ban Mae Klang Luang, Chom Thom District, Chiang Mai Province, is a village of Karen hill tribe people who migrated from Burma in the late 18th century.  Known for picturesque terraced rice paddies, this typica varietal coffee is grown in the shade of the forest further up the mountain at altitudes around 1800 meters.

This coffee has an up-front chocolate nose as a whole bean and after grinding, along with meaty and vegetable aromas.  In the cup it is smooth and balanced, with floral flavors and bit of a pronounced citrus acidity, and chocolate on the finish.
